Helping to Make Vancouver Canada's Safest Major City

Since 1997, the WECHCPC has been your local resource for answering the crime & safety concerns of our neighbourhood. No one knows the community better than the people who live, work, and play there. When community members join in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, it means we can all live more safely and without fear. An active community is a safe community.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." (Margaret Mead)

The WECHCPC is driven by volunteer power; people from the community that have a personal attachment to the area and want to make it a better place for themselves and for others. Our success depends on you, your skills, your knowledge, and your experiences. Together we make a difference.

September is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Please leave the phone alone.

June 27, 2015

Canada prides itself on the rich, ethnically diverse landscape that represents this nation. Rather than becoming a cultural melting pot, Canada honours and encourages a cultural mosaic. Two events in particular demonstrate Canada’s commitment to multiculturalism: • In 1971, Canada became the first country in the world to declare multiculturalism as official state policy. • In November 2002, the Government of Canada designated June 27 of each year as Canadian Multiculturalism Day. How will you celebrate on June 27th? For more Canadian Multiculturalism statistics, click the image above.

Support the WECHCPC

The West End - Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre is a non-profit organization. We are core funded by the City of Vancouver, but our expenses reach far beyond. Without the support of the community, fundraising, and donations, our office wouldn’t be where it is today. If you would like to sponsor or donate to our organization, please contact info@wechcpc.com for more information or use the Paypal button above. Your donations help us with everything from office equipment, foot and bike patrol essentials, uniforms, and the most basic necessities such as heat and power. Thank you to everyone who supports our Centre.
