What are the requirements of a volunteer

You must meet the following criteria to be a volunteer:

  • be 18 years of age or older
  • able to volunteer a minimum 4 hours a month
  • possess good interpersonal skills - must speak English fluently, other languages are an asset
  • must enjoy working with the public
  • must be a team player
  • willing to undergo a police security clearance check
  • must keep information confidential
 




The WECHCPC is launching a brand new Homeless Outreach program. With the help of local businesses, community groups, and residents, we hope to end homelessness and drug addiction in the West End and Coal Harbour neighbourhoods. 

Volunteer nursing students will be meeting with homeless people in the community to assist them with gaining income assistance, clothing, food resources, temporary or permanent housing, detox, and more.

In addition, local businesses will be helping to collect money for organizations that help people overcome homelessness and conquer drug addction.
